hello internet and anyone who looks
today I have a warning against a place not a recommendation.
if ever within the Providence RI area, do NOT eat at the edge wood market and deli sadwich counter.
recently I obtained food poisoning from there and want to warn others against it so they do not suffer the same as me.
I'm sure the drinks and sealed food is fien there, but stay away from the sandwiches.
thank you

a late sunday posting
should have posted this earlier this week but have been busy with this and that along with classes.
Tried yet again another restaurant, Dave and Busters, and had a new dish on their menu, pesto chicken pasta.
The dish was a large shallow oval plate made with spinach, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, curly noodles, and a cream, cheesey pesto sauce.
The sauce was very delicious, it tasted of gruere cheese and mixed well with the spinach pesto it was combined with. the flavor was a savory mix of salty cheese and the creaminess of pesto
the vegetables is the dish were well done as well. they all combined to make a delicious sweet and savory plate. I especially enjoyed the sun dried tomatoes within the dish.
finlly, the pasta itself, it was well cooked and not too soft or too hard. they made it al dente perfectly and the carry over cooking finished it great.
overall I recoomend this dish and would gladly go back to order it again if I get the chance too.

practical pork rub
well, its a new day and a new idea to you few who may be looking at this. Today I created a nice blend of spices to put on a pork chop for either grilling, pan cooking, or baking, but personally I'd recommend grilling it because not only do you get those nice grill marks, but you can also lock on the spices in a nice flavorful crust. If grilling it, make it on the grill and get those marks and then finish in the voen because you can get an even finish while still giving it the crust and the marks, without the possible hotspots on a grill that can cook a product two diffrent temperatures.
ok so the rub to use is
kosher salt ( gives it texture because the crystals are so big)
black pepper
paprika
little bit of chili powder
little bit of onion powder
not sure on the measurements because I jsut kind of pour out a little of each on a tray and mixed them together with my hands, but there you go. Try this mix on some pork and enjoy.

moving on to food
well, I've decied yet again to move in a new direction with this blog, and move to writing about food on it. Since my future will hold many new and interesting dishes, I've decided to share with the world the steps along the road I take to learn about food and the different foods out there to taste.
Since it's a new start, I'm going to start off with a review and critque of the food I ate tonight at the Cheese Cake Factory. Earlier today I ordered along with a friend thier fried macaroni and cheese balls and godiva brownie sundae.
First off is the macaroni and cheese, i got say this was an interesting twist on a old classic. They rolled up the macaroni and chesse in what seemed to be just a simple breading mixture of medium grain crumbs and fry to deep brown. It was served on a pinkish marinara sauce, topped with melted parmesen cheese and sprigs of parsley. First off, I like a simple presentation and the four balls of food you recieve in an order was presented simply, but nicely. There was no excess sauce on the plate and the rim was nice and white giving a nice attention draw to the sauce and main item of the dish. But moving on from that, the taste was pretty darn good. The outer fried shell was a nice crispy flavorful contrast to the smooth cheesy center or macaroni and cheese. The balls were roughly the size of half my fist, or about maybe the size a cue ball or a little bigger but were roughly the same size. the white sauce inside went well with the coating and wasn't to bland or too salty as white sauces can be made. The marinara ssauce that it is served on was very light and went well with the white sauce and the crunchy coating. It didn't really taste like a tomato sauce, but or of a white and smooth red sauce mixed together to make a pink sauce blend. Overall I got to say that it was a gret tasting dish that beat my expectation of what I expected from fried macaroni and cheese, but the price they charge for it is kind of ridiculous, about $7 for what is considered an appatizer of four macaroni and cheese balls.
next up is the Godiva brownie sundae from the same place. I got say, this was a doozy of chocolaty goodness. You get three triangles of brownie along with two scoops of vanilla icecream and whipped cream with nuts on an oval plate arranged brownie, ice cream, brownie, cie cream, brownie. First off, im not a big fan off nuts on things, but can deal, but the nuts they threow on this were not really fitting too well with the flavor profile. They were uncooked and were jst kind of there and not really fitting with everything else in the dessert I thought. It was one of the downers of this dessert. The brownies in this were excelletn, but could have been a little better. They were rich and deep in their chocolate tastes adn assaulted my mouth with a harmony of chocolatiness. but I believe they could have been warm to give contrast in the dish instead of room temp like the were. movign on the ice cream was very good. it was real good vanilla and not the cheap stuff you might find in a grocery store, maybe even in house made but I cant be sure.but it was very creamy and flavored just so. again, the price held this dish back at about $8.50, but it was very delicious
So overall, I liked both, but the prices were a bit steep. but for what you get you can easily split the tab with a friend and walk away full.
thats it for now, Next time who knows what I'll have. But nkow I will keep an open mind and an empty stomach

new drawings in my sketch book
while watching something on sundance, I got inspiration for a new set of drawings that have me in a rush of artistic idea. I've begun a four or five piece set band montage that I hope will turn out well. Each piece will show a member of the band on the way to the show and the possible fifth drawing will show the band together on stage.
Each piece will have a sectret them piece in it that will all come together should I do the fifth piece, which would be the hardest for me.
I have a tough time drawing humans and having to draw FOUR all in the same picture and fit it on a sheet of drawing paper would only be worse for me. But if I really try I could probably pull it off.
A buddy of mine who is an excellent drawer told me not copy other styles or take lessons from books and what not, but to just experiment and try try again until I get my style right. I have taken that advice in drawing and slowly am getting better. While not my best talent, drawing is something I enjoy and hope that I get to a acceptable level of drawing.
In other notes my story is still coming along and the seventh chapter of part one is still flowing smoothly. It is hard to write out a good fight scene. Watching movies and tv does give my creative juices a good spanking and somehow lets me describe the motions in word, but it is so hard to make a fight flow like silk in words rather than by watching it with our eyes. But hopefully it will turn out well and I can continue to develop the story.
until I update again

Starting Out The Site
Greetings reader,
This page is my new blog where I will post thoughts, musings, and chapters of stories I write. It will be a multi-purpose website for me and for those who read it. Though I doubt many will read this, I hope one day people will come to read what I have to offer the world.
First off is that the new mask drawing I have up on my deviant site is still going through the ringer and will hopefully be at stage two by the end of the week. stage three will involve inking the drawing and texturing it and then stage four would be to add minute details and color. But the coloring stage I will have to ask for help from other artists or get an art swap with one.
well thats it for now.
